About Me

Kelly James

Iningai Tribe

Aboriginal Cultural Program Coordinator

Owner of Mobroots

This is Me!

I am Kelly, a proud Aboriginal Iningai Woman. My people (us Murri's) come from central Queensland in Longreach.

My nana Eva Wilson (Nee Weldon), Elder of the Weldon Tribe, was the first born of sixteen children.

She went on to have seven beautiful children, and passed away too soon in life, at only 29 years of age. Bless her soul! My mother was her middle child.

I am the eldest of three daughters, I have five babies of my own, and I am a proud NanNan to two special little grandsons, hopefully with more to come.

I created 'Mobroots' with the purpose of restoring, rebirthing and belonging to our country. It is important to share our people's valuable knowledge and wisdom with our young ones, so they can also pass on our stories to future generations.

I am very proud of this family-run business, and I hope to spread awareness of our culture and ground with connection, respect and belonging.

Be Safe, Stay Deadly & Always BE Proud of Who You Are!

I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who supported, guided and helped bring Mobroots to life.

Your encouragement, creativity and collaboration throughout this journey have meant so much.

A special thank you to Mikaela Webb, proud Yorta Yorta woman, for helping create the website and supporting the development of Mobroots.

Thank you also to my Sons, Jeremy and Dylan for helping come up with the name of Mobroots, and for Leighton for initiating and creating the brochures.

Your support has played an important role in helping Mobroots grow from an idea into something real, and I'm truly grateful to have has such amazing people involved in the process.
