Iningai Tribe
Aboriginal Cultural Program Coordinator
Owner of Mobroots
I am Kelly, a proud Aboriginal Iningai Woman. My people (us Murri's) come from central Queensland in Longreach.
My nana Eva Wilson (Nee Weldon), Elder of the Weldon Tribe, was the first born of sixteen children.
She went on to have seven beautiful children, and passed away too soon in life, at only 29 years of age. Bless her soul! My mother was her middle child.
I am the eldest of three daughters, I have five babies of my own, and I am a proud NanNan to two special little grandsons, hopefully with more to come.
I created 'Mobroots' with the purpose of restoring, rebirthing and belonging to our country. It is important to share our people's valuable knowledge and wisdom with our young ones, so they can also pass on our stories to future generations.
I am very proud of this family-run business, and I hope to spread awareness of our culture and ground with connection, respect and belonging.
Be Safe, Stay Deadly & Always BE Proud of Who You Are!
-Kelly Tarlinton (Nee James).
